Calling for a mr. phelps. Told them he didnt not reside here. he then asked for me to verify my phone number and I confirmed and then he claimed to be calling the local area for insurance and asked if im insured. So I hung up and realized how fishy it was and then I traced the call as most forums suggested for record.

"spoofed or fake Caller ID" Call *57 to trace back the next time they call (must be done after they hang up, Then report to the FCC.) http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm - There is a file with FCC now.

Phone rings once, then stops. Not long enough to show on caller ID. Used *69 to get number, called and rec'd "phone not in service" msg. This has happened 4 times in 30 minutes.
